Participating designers for Floral Windows to the World Championship

DAYNE TYLER ROBINSON (AUSTRALIA) is an Australian designer with over a decade’s worth of experience in the industry. Dayne has a proven track record of success in competitive floral design, consistently achieving accolades and recognition for her innovative creations. She has recently judged for the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show 2024 and the Worldskills National 2023. Dayne is looking forward to representing Australia on the world stage at SGF.  

STEFAN VAN BERLO (BELGIUM) is a skilled and passionate florist. Since winning the Belgium Championship in 2010, his talent has earned him recognition on both the national and international stage. He has led classes, demonstrations, and large-scale projects across Europe, bringing his expertise to countries including France, Russia, and the UK. Stefan's talent extends beyond competitions; he's been featured in publications, appeared on television, and served as a teacher and organiser in the floral community. Stefan continues to inspire and innovate in the world of floristry. 

LEA ROMANOWSKI (CANADA) makes use of her extensive skill set of carpentry, painting, metal work and electrical expertise to craft her floral designs. She is known for continuously pushing the boundaries of floral design throughout her career spanning more than three decades. As part of Designing on the Edge, the studio she founded, Lea provides a diverse range of services. These services include creating structural floral art and designing and decorating both small and large-scale events.  

ZHAO GUANGLONG (CHINA) is a multi-talented floral designer and entrepreneur heading multiple companies. He discovered his passion for floral design when he was close to 40. Since then, he has dedicated himself to learning more about floral design, seeking mentors in the industry and learning from them. He believes that flowers are indispensable in modern lifestyles. Guanglong is keen on honing his skills and improving his craft.  

ATHI LYRA (ESTONIA) is a master florist with over 20 years of professional experience in the industry. He is a well-recognised figure in the Estonian floral design industry, organising Estonian florist championships and a founding member of the Estonian Florist Association (MTÜ Eesti Florist). Athi is a published author in international florist books and magazines such as the bi-annual florist book International Floral Art and a Japanese floral design magazine among others.

TAMÁS MEZŐFFY (HUNGARY) spent his childhood living close to nature, where he first cultivated a connection with flowers. This interest has led to him joining his first floral competition at 15, then proceeding to pursue his studies as a florist and decorator. To broaden his horizons, Tamás has worked in many flower shops and taken part in floral demonstrations internationally such as in Estonia, Korea, Russia, Singapore, and the UK. He finds endless inspiration from nature and dedicates himself to being a successful florist. 

HIROTO INOUE (JAPAN) was initially trained in architectural engineering in school and worked in the construction industry for a decade before developing an interest in flower design. He then moved on to participating in floral arrangement contests before opening his own establishment. Inoue has taught at Japanese educational facilities and cultural centres and was invited to perform demonstrations all over the country. Inoue is known for his mixed-media arrangements which incorporates traditional elements of Japanese culture such as Washi (Japanese traditional hand-made paper) and Koyori (paper string) in novel ways.

CAROLINE LOO (MALAYSIA) studied European floral design in Germany and Holland and learnt Ikebana floral design in Malaysia and Taiwan. Caroline is also a master Floral Designer certified by IHK (Floral Designer of German Chamber of Commerce & Industry) and FDF (Floral Designer Association of Germany). She continues to contribute to the Malaysian floral industry through organising events to promote floral education and appreciation. 

FRANCA LOGAN (NEW ZEALAND) has over 30 years of international design, competition, and teaching experience for all things botanical. Franca started Florienne, a floral design studio situated at the heart of Takapuna Beach in Auckland, New Zealand. She was inspired by her childhood in Holland and her lifelong love of blooms to open her own establishment. The studio specialises in making use of seasonal blooms to create customised bouquets.

IZA TKACZYK (POLAND) embarked on her journey as a florist after graduating as a Master Florist from Akademia Marioli Miklaszewskiej in Poland in 2015. Since then, Iza has been actively engaged in running workshops, participating in exhibitions, and competing in contests. Her work is greatly influenced by the education she received at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Poland. She also enjoys playing with colour and form, as well as using contrast and looking for the balance in composition in her works.

HUNG MO JOO, MOMO (REPUBLIC OF KOREA) is a Korean floral designer, garden stylist and educator. He has shared his expertise through conducting demonstrations and workshops around the world for close to 15 years. Momo is also the owner of Yeosu Flower Department Store.

BERNARD SOH (SINGAPORE) is a self-taught designer who has honed his craft through three decades of experience in the floral design industry. His passion for perfection has helped him push boundaries of what is possible in design and develop a unique sense of personal style. Bernard uses his keen eye for detail and unique style to create breathtaking floral arrangements.

CORAL SHORTT (SOUTH AFRICA) found her calling in the floral industry after a successful career in IT. Born in Zimbabwe, her early exposure to floral design clubs and community events kindled her passion for flowers. Since 2007, she has owned and led Epanouir Flower Studio, Green Goddess Flower Studio, and Blooms on the Boulevard. Carol has improved her skills through continuous learning. She has participated in workshops with renowned designers like Gregor Lersch and Hitomi Gilliam and achieved certifications such as the European Master Certification.

TIMO BOLTE (UNITED KINGDOM) discovered his passion for plants and flowers from his grandmother's expansive garden. His educational journey took him through various internships and roles in flower shops before he started pursuing formal education under Gregor Lersch. Timo served as a Senior Designer for Hibiya Kadan in Tokyo, and later worked as the artistic director of the Ritz Carlton hotel in Vienna. He is respected as a judge and speaker in the floral industry and continues to innovate and inspire, having co-founded his own event design company in London while maintaining a global presence in the world of floral design.

HOA MAI, CHERRIE (UNITED STATES) is a notable figure in California’s floral design scene. She is the owner and designer of HBflorist - Queen’s Flowers in Huntington Beach, CA, since 1993. In 1999, Hoa Mai made history as the first Interflora florist in Vietnam. She has also taken on leadership roles such as Chairwoman of the Interflora Expo Vietnam in 2016 and the Vietnam International Flora Expo in 2018 and 2019.

KHOI HA (VIETNAM) inherited his love for florals from his mother at a young age and his passion for florals has only further blossomed since then. His dedication to floral design has brought him across 32 countries in 17 years, growing his skills and experience. Khoi’s skills have led him to grace the cover of the French floral art magazine, Nacre, in 2020 and 2023. He opened the first Khoi Ha flower boutique in 2019 and aims to continue creating signature designs and contributing to the development of the Vietnamese floral design community.
