MR PASCAL GARBE, world renowned garden designer, France
Head Judge
After studying landscaping and related subjects, Pascal took a course in garden architecture in Belgium. He then worked for several consultancies both in France and abroad. An acclaimed garden designer in France, Pascal is also considered as one of the best Garden Tourism experts in the world. He regularly contributes to gardening magazines both in France and abroad and is the author of around twenty books on gardens and plants. Pascal was a judge for the Best of Show Designer Gardens competition at SGF in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018.
MR SETH PEARSOLL, Creative Director of the Philadelphia Flower Show, United States of America
Judge
Seth Pearsoll’s role as Creative Director and Vice President for the Philadelphia Flower Show allows him to contribute to a variety of design tasks and creative projects. He focuses on finding and creating relationships with exciting new designers and creators for the Flower Show. Part of what makes the Flower Show exciting is the group of amazing garden, floral, and landscape designers who participate, and Seth leads the team in charge of showcasing their collective efforts.
MR RICHARD BARLEY, Director of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, Australia/ United Kingdom

Richard Barley joined Kew in 2013, relocating from Victoria, Australia. He was formerly Chief Executive Officer of Open Gardens Australia, and a Director within the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne where he worked for 30 years. Richard has extensive experience balancing the needs of a world-class horticultural site and visitor attraction, with maintaining and developing important scientific living collections. In his current role, he is responsible for the gardens and living collections at Kew Gardens and Wakehurst, Kew’s School of Horticulture, Learning and Participation programmes, Interpretation, and a selection of capital building and restoration programmes. Richard was a judge for the Best of Show Designer Gardens competition at SGF in 2010 and 2012.
