Now in its eighth edition, the Singapore Gardeners’ Cup (SGC) is a thematic garden display co-created by community gardeners at Singapore Garden Festival 2026. SGC showcases the creativity of local community gardeners and provides a learning platform between gardeners and landscape professionals as they team up to exhibit their horticulture and creative talents at a premier international garden and flower show. 

Embodying the “community gardening” spirit behind the strong gardening movement, our local Community in Bloom community gardeners from 36 gardening groups across Singapore will partner with staff and Landscape Architects and Designers from National Parks Board, and Implementing Partners from the landscape sector to create three garden display plots (led by West, Central and East teams). They will work together to conceptualise and implement a show garden expressing the “Vintage Carnival” theme using a harmonious blend of horticultural and landscape design elements. 

This year’s overarching theme for SGC is ‘Vintage Carnival’ and features a variety of tropical plants with an emphasis on sustainability, culture and photo-worthy moments. The theme plays on nostalgia and whimsy, evoking the charm of old-fashioned fairgrounds whilst celebrating nature's vibrant spectacle. Visitors can wander through displays that blend carnival aesthetics with lush tropical foliage, where vintage carnival rides and features are nestled amongst vibrant plant collections and colourful bunting drapes throughout the site. The festival showcases how traditional carnival elements can be reimagined using eco-friendly materials and complemented by the bold textures and colours of tropical flora, creating an enchanting experience that honours both our cultural heritage and environmental responsibility.
